Transcona average home prices, sales and listings all up in 2016

Average home prices and sales were up in 2016 for the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Devonshire Village, Kildonan Green, Kildonan Meadows, Lakeside Meadows, Mission Gardens, East, West & South Transcona, Canterbury Park, Crocus Meadows and Starlite Village. Year-end listings were also up.

There were 814 active listings in Winnipeg MLS areas 3K, 3L, 3M and 3N at the end of 2016 compared to 759 active listings at the end of 2015. There were also 546 home sales in the aforementioned neighbourhoods in 2016 as compared to 530 sales in 2015, and the average home sale price was up from $258,503 in 2015 to $279,303 in 2016. All good news for home sellers!

The average days required to sell a home was up, but only slightly, from 23.75 days in 2015 to 24.5 days in 2016.

The top home sale price in Winnipeg MLS areas 3K, 3L, 3M and 3N in 2016 was $514,955 for a home on Angela Everts Drive. The lowest price belonged to a home on Madeline Street that closed at $104,900.
