Listings up, sales and sale prices down in West Transcona

MLS listings went up while sales and sale prices went down up in the month of February 2019 in the Winnipeg neighbourhood of West Transcona.

The average selling price of homes went down approximately 14% with the average being $221,225 compared to $257,987 in February 2018. On average a residence took 25 days more to sell in February 2019 as compared to 24 days in February 2018.

There were 12 active listings in Winnipeg MLS area 3L at the end of February 2019 as compared to 8 at the end of February 2019, and 4 homes sold in February 2019 as compared to 7 in 2018. The sales-to-listing ratio was 33% in February 2019 compared to 88% in February 2018.

The highest price paid in February 2019 for a home in the neighbourhood of West Transcona was $305,000 for a home on Melrose Avenue W. The lowest sale price belonged to a home on Kildare Avenue W, which closed at $160,000.
