Strong Sales Activity in February

Winnipeg February MLS  residential sales of 612 increased 21% in comparison to 2015 . MLS dollar volume of approximately a $180 million was up 29%  over the same period last year.

The most active price range in MLS residential sales was between $200,000.00 to $349,999.00 accounting for 49% of total sales in the month of February.

The average number of days on market to sell a home in February was 37 days as to 34 in 2015.

At the end of February there was 1,888 listings available for viewing, down 3.5% from the 1,956 listings available for sale in 2015.

There were 1,022 listings entered into the MLS system in February 2016.

February MLS condominium  purchases of 92 units was a boost of 43% compared to the same month in 2015. February MLS dollar volume  of  almost $22 million was up from the ball park figure of $15 million  in 2015.

48% of all condo units that changed ownership were in the price range of $150,000.00 to $249,999.00 during the month.

The average number of days on the market to sell a condo in February 2016 was a duplicate of 2015 with 48 units acquired by new owners.

February concluded with 752 condominiums available for consideration by purchasers, up from 2015 by 20%.

February 2016 was active month with 253 units listed on the MLS system.
