Listings and sale prices up, sales down in Old St. Vital

MLS listings and sale prices went up while sales went down in the month of March 2018 for the Winnipeg neighbourhood of MLS area Old St. Vital.

The average selling price of homes went up approximately 22.3% with the average being $330,498 compared to $256,788 in March 2017. On average a residence took 6 days less to sell compared to the average of 13 days in March 2017.

There were 18 active listings in Winnipeg MLS area 2D at the end of March 2018 as compared to 15 at the end of March 2017, and 10 homes sold in March 2018 as compared to 17 in 2017. The sales-to-listing ratio decreased from 113 percent in March 2017 to 56 percent in March 2018.

The highest price paid in March 2018 for a home in the neighbourhood of Old St. Vital was $730,000 for a home on Egerton Road. The lowest sale price belonged to a home on Stranmillis Avenue, which closed at $167,000.
