MLS listings and sale prices down, home sales up in Norwood, St. Boniface

MLS listings and sale prices went down in the month of February 2018 for the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of MLS areas Norwood, Norwood Flats, and St. Boniface.

The average selling price of homes went down approximately 11,4% with the average being $254,750 compared to $287,625 in February 2017. On average a residence took 7 days less to sell compared to the average of 48.5 days in February 2017.

There were 13 active listings in Winnipeg MLS areas 2A and 2B at the end of February 2018 as compared to 17 at the end of February 2017, and 11 homes sold in February 2018 as compared to 5 in 2017. The sales-to-listing ratio increased from 30 percent in February 2017 to 83.5 percent in February 2018.

The highest price paid in 2018 for a home in the neighbourhoods of Norwood, Norwood Flats and St. Boniface was $575,000 for a home on Hemlock Place. The lowest sale price belonged to a home on Lariviere Street, which closed at $173,000.
