MLS listings down, sales and home prices up in Charleswood, Westdale

MLS listings went down in the month of January 2017 for the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of MLS areas Assiniboine Woods, Charleswood, River West Park and Westdale.

The average selling price of homes went up approximately 38% with the average being $499,739 compared to $360,908 in January 2016. On average a residence took approximately 4 more days to sell compared to the average of 45.66 days in January 2016.

There were 30 active listings in Winnipeg MLS areas 1F, 1G and 1H at the end of January 2017 as compared to 32 at the end of January 2016, and 12 homes sold in January 2017 as compared to 12 in 2016. The sales-to-listing ratio increased from 39.33 percent in January 2016 to 45.33 percent in January 2017.

The highest price paid in 2017 for a home in the neighbourhoods of Assiniboine Woods, Charleswood, River West Park and Westdale was $710,000 for a home on William Marshall Way. The lowest sale price belonged to a home on Wexford Street, which closed at $185,000.
