Sales and listings were down in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Fort Garry, East Fort Garry, West Fort Garry, Fort Richmond, Waverley Heights, Wildwood and University Heights for January 2017, but average home sale price was up by a smidgeon.

There were six homes sold in Winnipeg MLS areas 1J, 1JW, 1K and 1L in January 2017 as compared to 10 sold in January 2016, and active listings were down from 20 to 16. On a brighter note, the average home sale price in these areas rose from $348,737 in January 2016 to $349,250 in January 2017.

The average days required to sell a home remained high in Winnipeg MLS areas 1J, 1JW, 1K and 1L in January 2017 at 58.25 days, similar to the 56.75 days it took to sell a home in January 2016.

The highest price paid for a home in the neighbourhoods of Fort Garry, East Fort Garry, West Fort Garry, Fort Richmond, Waverley Heights, Wildwood and University Heights in January 2017 was $495,000 for a home on Linare Road. The lowest price paid belonged to a home on Wildwood Park, which closed at $265,000.
