The average home sale price was down in February 2017 in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Algonquin Park, All Season Estates, Eaglemere, Harbour View South, North Kildonan, River East and Valley Gardens as compared to February 2016, and the number of days required to sell a home in these neighbourhoods dropped dramatically.
It took an average of 34.40 days to sell a home in Winnipeg MLS areas 3E, 3F, 3G, 3H and 3J in February 2016. That number dropped to 22 days in February 2017. The average home sale price also dropped from $314,680 in February 2016 to $292,821 in February 2017.
Total active listings in Algonquin Park, All Season Estates, Eaglemere, Harbour View South, North Kildonan, River East and Valley Gardens were up in February 2017 to 44, compared to 41 in February 2016. Total sales in these neighbourhoods held steady at 22 homes during this period.
The lowest home sale price for February 2017 came in at $156,000 for a home on Brazier Street while the highest price paid was for a home on Reg Wyatt Way that changed hands for $392,500.
