Fort Richmond’s April Sales Increase

The average home sale price was up in April 2017 in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Fort Garry, Fort Richmond, University Heights, Waverly Heights and Wildwood as compared to April 2016, and the number of homes sold on MLS in these neighbourhoods increased as well.

It took an average of 11.25 days to sell a home in Winnipeg MLS areas 1J, 1Jw 1K  and 1L which decreased compared to April 2016 at 19.50 days. The average home sale price increased from $301,441 in April 2016 to $345,285 in April 2017.

Total active listings in Fort Garry, Fort Richmond, University Heights, Waverly Heights and Wildwood were down in April 2017 to 24, compared to 26 in April 2016. Total sales in these neighbourhoods increased to 31 homes during this period compared to 20 last year.

The lowest home sale price for April 2017 came in at $190,000 for a home on Dumas Avenue while the highest price paid was for a home on that changed hands for $503,000 on Wicklow Street.
