Home sales and prices up for 2017 in Fort Rouge, Crescentwood, Osborne Village

Home sales and average home sale prices were up for 2017 in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Fort Rouge, Riverview, Fort Rouge West, Lord Roberts, Crescentwood, Osborne Village and Corydon.

There were 365 homes sold in Winnipeg MLS areas 1A, 1AW, 1B and 1BW in 2017 as compared to 306 homes sold in these areas in 2016 and the average home sale price rose from $259,456 to $277,012.

Total active listings in Fort Rouge, Riverview, Fort Rouge West, Lord Roberts, Crescentwood, Osborne Village and Corydon were down from 366 in 2016 to 301 in 2017 and the average days required to sell a home also dropped from 17.25 days in 2016 to 15.25 days in 2017.

The highest price paid in these neighbourhoods for a home in 2017 was $467,000 for a home on Maplewood Avenue. The lowest price paid was for a home on Hethrington Avenue that closed at $94,472.
