Listings and sales up, sale prices down in West Transcona

MLS listings and sales went up while sale prices went up in the month of September 2018 for the Winnipeg neighbourhood of MLS area West Transcona.

The average selling price of homes went down approximately 23% with the average being $207,493 compared to $272,983 in August 2017. On average a residence took 12 days more to sell in September 2018 as compared to 12 days in September 2017.

There were 22 active listings in Winnipeg MLS area 3L at the end of September 2018 as compared to 14 at the end of September 2017, and 14 homes sold in September 2018 as compared to 6 in 2017. The sales-to-listing ratio was 64% in September 2018 compared to 43% in September 2017.

The highest price paid in September 2018 for a home in the neighbourhood of West Transcona was $282,000 for a home on Edward Avenue. The lowest sale price belonged to a home on Harold Avenue W, which closed at $150,000.
