River East Home Prices Up 4.76%

The average home sale price was up 4.76% in May 2017 in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Algonquin Park, All Season Estates, Eaglemere, Harbour View South, North Kildonan, River East and Valley Gardens as compared to May 2016, and the number of days required to sell a home in these neighbourhoods declined compared to last May.

It took an average of 17.6 days to sell a home in Winnipeg MLS areas 3E, 3F, 3G, 3H and 3J in May 2016. That number declined to 16.8 days in May 2017. The average home sale price inflated to $339,076 in May 2017 from $323,674 in May 2016.

Total active listings in Algonquin Park, All Season Estates, Eaglemere, Harbour View South, North Kildonan, River East and Valley Gardens were up in May 2017 to 68, compared to 65 in May 2016. Total sales in these neighbourhoods declined to 45 in May 2017 compared to 61 homes during this period in 2016.

The lowest home sale price for May 2017 came in at $174,000 for a home on Sutton Avenue while the highest price paid was for a home on Desert Park Cove that changed hands for $466,500.
