Listings up but sales down in St. Boniface, Norwood, Norwood Flats

Listings almost doubled but sales were down in February 2017 in the Winnipeg neigbourhoods of St. Boniface, Norwood and Norwood Flats, when compared to February 2016.

There were 10 homes sold in Winnipeg MLS areas 2A and 2B in February 2017 as compared to 12 homes sold in these areas in February 2016, and listings increased from 12 in February 2016 to 21 in February 2017. Additionally, it took 37 days to sell a home in St. Boniface, Norwood and Norwood Flats in February 2017, as compared to 28 days in February 2016.

Also on a downward trend was the average home sale price in these neighbourhoods. The average home sale price in St. Boniface, Norwood and Norwood Flats in February 2017 was $246,050, down from $267,669 in February 2016.

The highest sale price in February 2017 in Winnipeg MLS areas 2A and 2B went to a home on Lyndale Avenue that closed at $480,000. The lowest sale price in February 2017 went to a home on Hamel Avenue that brought $212,000.
