Listings and sale prices up, sales down in West End

MLS listings and sale prices went up while sales went down in the month of May 2018 for the Winnipeg neighbourhood of MLS area West End.

The average selling price of homes went up approximately 6.9% with the average being $179,564 compared to $167,125 in May 2017. On average a residence took 6 days more to sell compared to the average of 25 days in May 2017.

There were 31 active listings in Winnipeg MLS area 5A at the end of May 2018 as compared to 27 at the end of May 2017, and 14 homes sold in May 2018 as compared to 20 in 2017. The sales-to-listing ratio decreased from 74 percent in May 2017 to 45 percent in May 2018.

The highest price paid in May 2018 for a home in the neighbourhood of West End was $312,000 for a home on Spence Street. The lowest sale price belonged to a home on Simcoe Street, which closed at $117,500.
